My daughter didn't even want to do taekwondo, but after one class Yong-In had given my daughter confidence and the passion to become a black belt. She's only been going for about a month and has already improved so much.

Our kid has been attending Yongin in the Little Tigers program (age group 3-5) for one year. It not only teaches basic taekwondo movements, but emphasizes attention, control, and respect. Its a lot of repetition, but for this age range it has been helpful to build confidence and endurance. The facility is clean, well lit. Recent renovations make it modern looking. All the practice equipment is nicely maintained. Located in a plaza with lots of parking and convenient in/out. I recommend for anyone interested to do a trial lesson. I also think parents should have realistic expectations and not force their kids into an activity that they dont feel comfortable doing OR are not ready to follow a regimented program. During our time here, we have seen many kids who clearly do not want to participate, or cannot focus, but were urged on by their parents. Master Kim and his training staff are always very supportive in these cases, but it is never enjoyable being spectator to those situations. But be forewarned: unruliness and inattention during class is reprimanded, of course with the encouragement to do better. So do the trial class to see if they like it and can handle it. Like with any activity, itll depend on your child whether its a good fit. Our kiddo specifically wanted to learn to kick and punch, so taekwondo was a natural fit. And were happy to have chosen this studio. Love that Master Kim utilizes older black belt students to help with training the littles. I can see it building leadership and team spirit. Excellent experiences with Yongin so far!

We have had a positive experience with Yong-in. Coming out of the pandemic, we were looking for an activity for my son to transition back to in person learning and activities. Master Kim and his program helped my son grow in many areas, outside of just physical growth and strength. These important areas include confidence, maturity, and respect. We appreciate the time Master Kim takes to help my son develop skills necessary to be a good student, family member, and friend. The black belt students are also wonderful and my son looks forward to working with them every week as well!

We really love Yongin taekwondo. Master Kim brings a good balance of discipline and fun to the class. His black belts are amazing in the class as well. They have very good programs to teach kids discipline , respect , responsibility along with self defense. My kid looks forward to the class and we highly recommend this class.

We love Yongin! Master Kim is an excellent instructor with a balance of motivation, discipline, and fun!  His leadership qualities shine through his well trained team of instructors who are all black belt students. Having to move, start a new school and new dojang. My daughter was nervous. She liked her routine she liked her other taekwondo dojang. She was hooked after one class, motivated to become a black belt by the end of the year.Master Kim couldn't do everything without the help of his wonderful office manager, Bridget. Great community at Yongin!
