A home refinance is a complicated journey with definite demands on your time during the period of a month or two youre basically going through the process of buying your house all over again at a new rate. Theres a lot to sustain you through the journey, namely, the excitement of reducing your monthly mortgage payment by locking in a new lower interest rate. And, in truth, you need a high level of excitement to motivate you as you now begin to jump through many hoops en route to the finish line. Theres the gathering of massive amounts of personal documentation to support the new loan, the making of your credit information available to the bank, the poring over reams of disclosure statements, the seemingly endless signing of final papers with a notary, maybe even an appraisal of your home. Just when you think it surely has to be over, theres something else to do that will take a couple hours of your evening after a hard day at work.
