STAR Prep Academy

I love this school. My son transferred to this school in the middle of 7th grade and immediately connected with his peers and teachers. For the first time ever I hear him saying that he likes going to school and enjoys the classes he's taking - Lessons are more interesting and engaging and I love hearing my child talk about school related subjects with enthusiasm. The teachers are so caring and always go above and beyond to ensure the students' success.

STAR Prep is a great school!! I've been a student here since January 2018, and it's so much better than my old school! STAR tries to help me incorporate my passions into my school work, and is helping me achive my goals for the future. Sometimes the homework can be hard, but we're always able to ask the teachers for help. Every year, at the beginning of the year, the whole school goes on a trip somewhere. However, I have not enjoyed either of the trips I have been on. Luckily, these trips are optional, so I do not plan on going on the trip next year. Also, I am the only girl in my grade. This doesn't really bother me becuase I get along with the boys in my grade, but it is something to bring up. Because of my autism it can be hard for me to ask for help sometimes, but this school is trying to help me with that. The small classes give me more one on one time with teachers, and they can help me understand the material more. - Danielle Broderick, 10th grade

I have worked at this school as a substitute teacher. The faculty and staff are wonderful and pay close attention to the individual needs of every student. With the small class sizes, teachers are able to customize lesson plans to accelerate progress with students while offering special attention to students that may require it. I am also VERY impressed with their college counseling program and incredible college placement success. As a parent and educator, I highly recommend STAR Prep Academy.
