We love SJB! From the caring teachers to the families and parents, we love the sense of community. The Norbertines are a special gift to instill a love for the faith in our kids. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an authentic Catholic education.

My wife convinced me to put our daughter to St. John's. I never imagined that it became another family to us. The best private school in OC. Teachers and administrators are so genuine. They have high standards for our kids and help them every step of the way. Once they graduate to move onto high school, they are more then readily prepared.

My husband and could not be more please with our choice to send out son to SJB. He is close to finishing Kindergarten and is currently obsessed with reading. I love their STREAM approach, where religion is interwove throughout all the subjects taught. The Maker Space lab where student get to try hands on activities to understand the world is a wonderful addition in 2018. St John's is constantly thinking of how to improve and it shows. I love the faculty, teachers, priests, sisters and the community who make up this wonderful school for our students.

Nope Nope Nope Nope. I would not recommend this school at all. Issues arose from when I was young, but escalated drastically when the former principal Sister Vianney left. Some teachers were inexperienced, without credential. My first grade substitute became my teacher when our original teacher had to quit. She ended up staying and at the end of the year gave all the kids who were "good" a giant lollipop. She said we would all have gotten it if we didn't talk. this was the majority of the class. We were in first grade, and had already gotten through it somehow even with her, and the best award she could give me was "time keeper" She made kids have accidents a few times. I looked at the website and she is still there as a teacher. I also know that now it is mandatory for you to say yes if someone asks you to the dance, even if you aren't planning on going with anybody. This means you are probably expected to dance with someone you may dislike. I don't see how this is tolerant especially towards girls, who are traditionally asked to the dance. Being forced is not okay, and in my opinion makes people vulnerable and disrespected. Nothing like this would have happened before.

I have two children (a 5th & an 8th grader) who attend Saint John the Baptist and both have been there since kindergarten. We love this school! I feel that my children are getting a great education in an environment that shelters them but also helps them become mature, responsible and educated about the world in an appropriate & timely manner. My favorite part about SJB would have to be the community. The wonderful families we have become friends with are central to our life as are the many (many!) fun programs & activities available there.
