I decided to go here and I checked in on 10/7/22. The cool thing about this place was I could bring my dog and I really liked what they were selling. This nice beautiful luxury rehab. As soon as I got there and was assigned a room I was shocked at how dirty my room was. I found a cookie container, empty bag of chips, which were clearly visible as soon as you walked in the room, the floor had not been swept and my bed only had only a flat sheet - no top sheet. They advertised that they had a chef which is not true. They brought in metal containers if food like Shepard Pie and a salad. There was nothing healthy in the meals provided. Later during the day when I used the main restroom which is shared by all including staff had not been cleaned in a very long time. The back portion of the toilet seat was disgusting, the showers had mildew. I went to bed completely grossed out and woke up at 3:00 am and used the restroom and took a piece of toilet paper and wiped the floor so I could show the staff and ask if there was a cleaning protocol in place. Of course he didnt know, he was the graveyard guy. He also was not allowed to give any meds whatsoever which didnt seem right to me. I stayed for a couple days longer than I wanted too and I asked to be transferred to Hoag Hospital because I was not going to stay another day at this place. No matter what Asanas response will be too me, please know this is NOT a luxury rehab. Even the couches suck and the staff vapes in the house all day. Could you imagine checking into the Ritz and the front staff vaping at the front desk. Far from luxury and my standards are not that high. Trust me

This place may have been good in the past, but now it's a joke. The houses are not clean (and not cleaned regularly), AC was broken in 2 houses, beds crammed in rooms where they don't fit, and according to staff they are chronically understaffed. According to other residents there was frequently not enough staff to take them on the "regular" outings they advertised. I left after 3 days because I never saw a therapist and they had no groups either. Well, we watched a YouTube video once, but it really wasn't recovery based. The website photos are not accurate. The houses are in disrepair. In no way was this "luxury" rehab. Admissions staff assured me that they would work with me to get some SMART recovery options instead of just AA, when I inquired they said we'll see if we can get you to a zoom meeting a few times. To be fair, staff did try to address some concerns. They moved me from the crowded room and the house with no AC to a different house with only 2 beds in the room, which was cleaner - however the bathroom was not clean. No staff member could tell me if or when a cleaner had been in either house or if we could expect them in the future. When I finally decided to leave, the nurse on duty was incredibly rude, unresponsive, unprofessional, and very unkind. I had to hurriedly repack my bags in the garage and was not given my cell phone before I was taken to the garage in order to find a hotel or book an Uber. It took 6 hours from the time I said I wanted to leave until I finally got my things and was discharged. Once I was finished packing, I was told to leave the garage and go sit on the curb - as the sun was setting, in an unfamiliar city. Completely unnecessary and inhumane. I asked to speak with the executive director on the phone almost 48 hours before he agreed to speak with me. By then I had already decided to leave. Perhaps if he were more involved, it might have been possible to address my concerns, but he obviously didn't care enough to call until I said I wanted to leave. I will also say, to their credit, once I left the admission staff did provide recommendations for two alternative rehab facilities, which was appreciated.

This program literally has saved my life. Before coming to treatment I was hopeless, homeless, and completely sick and tired of being sick and tired. When I got to California and Jeannie picked me up I immediately felt like I was safe and ready to get my life back. Jeannie, Gabe, Gabby, Joshua, Bobby, Garrett, Ken, Jessica, Kenny, C.C., Tonya, Ryan, David, Makoa, Veronica, Vanessa, John, Emily, and all the rest of the staff will hold a special place in my heart. If it weren't for this program I definitely wouldn't be where I am today. I wouldn't have my family and friends back. So so so very thankful for this program.....
