I was attending this office for a long time. Unfortunately my doctor retired and i was referred to Dr. Leib. He was good too. I had an appointment and called to get my blood test referral as usual. suddenly i found out that my insurance is no longer accepted by this office. I asked why they did not call me to tell that so I could of have a chance to switch to the insurance they are taking, the answer was Sorry. My appointment should be 3 weeks away and now is the beginning of the month and I am out of luck because of them. My appointment miss their dead line by 2 weeks. very inconsiderate people in the office, business not patient oriented. I spoke with Virginia Smyth

I chose Dr. Lieb for my greenlight turp because I thought he was a nice guy and a likeable fellow. Unfortunately, that is not a good basis for choosing a physician, and I would not recommend him as a surgeon. I had nothing but pain and dysfunction as a result of the surgery. Although I could urinate adequately with Flomax prior to surgery, for a time I couldnt pee at all after the surgery, and I was fearful that my bladder would burst after two days of not peeing. There was no follow-up with him except by email, which I found to be grossly inadequate. There was not even a patient phone number to call for his office. His basic recommendation for dealing with post-surgical problems was to go to the emergency room, where I found that the physician assistant at the ER knew nothing about post urologic surgery complications. Prior to surgery he assured me that he was the most experienced turp surgeon in the area, with a very high success rate. I had no reason to not believe him at the time. In my case, since he does not do any meaningful follow-up beyond email reassurance, he is free to think whatever he wants about his surgery outcomes. No doubt he considers my surgery to have been a success. He seemed harried and overwhelmed on the day of the surgery, but when I brought up postponing surgery he assured me he would be fine once he got into the surgery room. My surgery had to be repeated several months later, this time by a different surgeon who was very capable and competent. My experience of the two surgeries was like night and day, with no complications or problems from the second surgery. However, some of the damage from Dr. Liebs surgery could not be repaired. Dr. Lieb may be amiable enough, but if one is looking for a competent turp surgeon, based on my terrible surgery experience I would certainly not recommend him.
