A Place Called Home Residential Care

A Place Called Home was truly a blessing for both myself and my Mom. She had been languishing in a skilled nursing facility for months, and was very distressed. But once I was able to get her moved into A Place Called Home #3, both her health and her spirits improved immensely! The owner David, and his brother Colin, along with their families were very helpful with all of the paperwork, and with getting my Mom set up and moved into the home. Their patience and kindness was very appreciated during that stressful time. The staff at the home, both the live-in and the off-day help were incredibly caring, patient, and attentive. My Mom bonded with them, and when I came to visit, she shared their stories with me like they were old friends. The food is all homemade with a great rotation of menu items, and the home itself is decorated very nicely, and was always immaculately clean. Everyone in the healthcare business that I spoke to once I got Mom moved in, said great things about A Placed Called Home and that I was lucky to find an opening. Throughout my Mom's stay there, including going through the hospice process, was the best experience and comfort she could have received. If you are looking for a wonderful place to get care for your loved one, and are lucky enough to find an opening with A Place Called Home, I recommend you take it immediately. You and your loved one will be well taken care of.

This residential care home lives up to its name. It really is a home to my 97 yo mother in law. Her care givers are loving and caring. All residents birthdays are celebrated. All the meals are home cooked. Plus the physical care is excellent. They welcome visitors and communicate frequently and well. The directors are readily reached by phone and work to ensure patient safety. We highly recommend APCH

David, Micah, and John are true blessings in this stage of one's life. They all treated my mother and our family with grace, respect, warmth, dignity, and all of the above. The facility is managed seamlessly, which makes it easier on families who have a loved one living there. To know that my mother was respected, safe, loved, and well cared for is something that we will be forever grateful for. Plus, they allowed my mom's cat and our family dog to come visit too! We will always hold "A Place To Call Home" dear to our hearts.

Very nice home in a great area. Home and residents are always clean and well kept. Very friendly and attentive staff. This is a great place if you are looking for placement of your loved one. Highly recommend.
