Called the Key Me Locksmiths Cmpany, because I got their number from google, showing the company in Claremont, and made an appointment! man showed up in his personal car with satchel. He looked at the basic rear door keyed lock and told me it would be $250 00. to open it! I was SHOCKED! I asked him where his business was, and he said it was in the San Fernando Valley! I'm in Claremont! He offered me a $30.00 discount for being a veteran,! I thought the price was way out of line just to open the door. However, I had no choice, as i needed to get into my house, as it was getting dark!! He tried to open the door, but couldn't do it, so since I needed to enter my house I told him to just drill out the lock, and open the door. It took him quite awhile to drill out the keyhole so the door would open. It finally opened! I had no choice, but to pay him. He stated that he couldn't take credit cards!!! Si, thank god i had enough cash to pay him!! He then gave me a receipt for his company, 24/7 Locksmith Services. No address, no city, no phone numbers!! I felt like this business is a scam! I fully expected a business from claremont to show up....not from the L.A. area! Please, if you call for kockmiths near Claremont, do not call Key Me! They are not legitimate!!!
