I have 3 Prodigy Smartlock locks around my home. I program the locks to open when it senses my Prodigy Smartlock sticker. Its amazing because the locks can be programmed to open for the same sticker, so I dont have to worry about which key unlocks which door.
When I leave for work and lift the lever, it activates the deadbolt along with the latch. So instead of the latch and deadbolt being 2 separate entities, they are connected. This makes it very convenient - I dont have to twist a key or anything. But if I accidentally forget to lock the door, I have peace of mind because the door latch automatically locks, preventing anyone from sneaking in. Similarly, unlocking the door is so simple - one twist down not only unlocks the deadbolt, it also opens the door latch.
The locks also unlock with a passcode. I can give each door multiple codes to work for different people. I have one for me (handy for when I forget my sticker), my wife, and my kids. Also, if a worker comes and needs access to my home while Im out, I can issue a one-time temporary code that disables later.
To top it all off, I love how the handles look very sleek and modern. It blends in with the style of my home. You dont see raised buttons, but you can enter your passcode on a flat panel. Its touch-activated and doesnt show fingerprints, so people cant figure out what your code is based on prints. I know Im not compromising appearance for quality. These handles are made with commercial grade material and feel really sturdy. Theyve passed tests on being crushed and hit with sledgehammers and can still keep a door locked.
All in all, I really like this lock! If youre tired of forgetting to lock the door or youre always leaving your keys at home, I would recommend investing in one.
