As my boyfriend and I were out on our anniversary trip we came across a bonsai vendor on the side of the road. We've always wanted one and were quick to pull the trigger on this 20 & 4 years old Juniper bonsai! After some research we started to doubt the health of the 20yr old. We knew we needed a professionals help. Did some more research and boy was I lucky to have came cross Dirty Locus and have contacted Ron. He is one of the few public Bonsai specialist in Sacramento. First off, his garden is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. He has dozens of different kinds of bonsais (indoor/outdoor). He was so kind the moment I called him up, and up to the moment I left his garden. Very eager to help & teach the way of bonsai growing. He was very insightful & thorough with every question I had. I was very skeptical of being able to care for this tree at first until I heard his reassuring words. He helped assess the problems it had, then shortly had me on my way to begin my own bonsai journey. I did pay for a 30min consultation then paid again for the supplies and work he did to re-pot the big one. He offers classes if you'd like to learn more which I thought was so cool. I am very thankful for his help!! If you are interested in starting your own journey this is the best place to start. No doubt about it. Or come take a tour of his garden!

I went and visited this nursery after calling and making an appointment with the owner Ron. He was very courteous and accommodating. He gave me a tour and let me walk the grounds. I was so impressed with the collection of Bonsai. I ended up buying three bonsai. This nursery has great prices and supplies and even lessons. I have since signed up for lessons and look forward to learning from Ron at Dirty Locust nursery. This is the real deal folks. If you love Bonsai check this place out. You will not regret it.

Been a student there for a few years now. There is a wealth of knowledge to be had. I had lost a lot trees prior to these classes. My trees are thriving thanks to his knowledge and teachings. Visiting is by appointment only and I will tell you it is worth it. It is a peaceful and beautiful garden to walk. Being a retired Veteran I will tell you, this place has brought me peace through his teachings. I have found purpose in caring for this beautiful art. Understand that this may not be true for all but you'll never know until you try.

Cut me off earlier today with no indication causing me to slam my brakes and a car behind me to have to swerve in to the adjacent lane almost causing 2 bad accidents. Not sure why youd drive with complete and utter disregard for others in a vehicle advertising your business of all things.
