Rachel was argumentative and unprofessional. I begged to her to allow me to ask the Dentist if she will require X ray if I just go for cleaning because we do not believe in preventive Dental X rays. She refused to give me dentist's email or an opportunity to ask her directly. She really pissed me off. Three years ago they X rayed my wife and recommended filling three or four cavities. We took a second opinion from our previous PPO dentist who saw the X Ray and said there are no cavities that need filling - he was right! Today they insisted my wife be x rayed and came up with recommending a new crown because her 30 year old crown has become slightly loose. We are not going to go here again - specially after Rachael managed to piss me off.

NOPE! Find another place. I was looking for a new dentist, found Valdez Dentistry and gave it a shot. My first visit they charged an additional $20 for covid supplies. Really? I needed a cavity filled, no issues with that. However, The staff was rude and not very friendly. Very short staffed as well. My next appointment I wasn't feeling to great, I kept calling about 4-5 times with no answer. I left a voicemail for them to call me back and no call back. I ended up having covid and they charged me $35 for no show. Hmm next time I'll go and get everyone sick! But I'm not going back, went back to my old dentist Quality Dental in chino which I do highly recommend. They have the friendly staffing and amazing service.

I was visiting family in Chino from out of state.
While there, my crown became detached and I needed to find a local dental office to have it re-cemented as soon as possible. I located Valdez Family Dentist Practice online via my insurances list of in-network dentists in Chino, CA. I called for an appointment and was so glad to get a same day appointment. The office staff were all very friendly and professional. Dentist, Dr. Vivian Valdez was great! She was able to re-cement my crown perfectly in very little time.

I have been a patient at this office for 15 years when the elder Dr. Valdez was practicing before he passed away. His twin daughters have taken over and I never really had anything negative to say until now. Mind you, I have never needed any major dental work until I broke a tooth and needed a crown. It took 4 weeks to get an appointment for the crown fitting, which I lived with because I was not in any pain. I arrived for my appointment and was told I had to pay $520 out of pocket for an "upgraded" crown. I disputed that amount outright and asked why that cost had not been communicated to me prior to my appointment. The office manager (OM) said it was her mistake, but then tried to further sell me on the zirconia crown. I called my insurance and was immediately provided with three procedure codes for different crowns that the insurance would cover with an out of pocket of $110-$195. I was told by the OM that those were not options that the Dentist would consider and that I HAD TO go with the zirconia because "The doctor won't put her name on anything else". Other things to note, I asked for a copy of my medical record and fee schedule for the past 2 years and was told by the same OM that she had to ask for the Dentist's permission-FOR MY OWN MEDICAL RECORD! I also asked to speak with the dentist and she refused. As I was on the phone with my insurance, the same OM told me that I was running over my appointment time and may not be seen. When I told the insurance rep what was going on even she commented to not let them trap me into paying for something out of pocket when there is an affordable alternative they can provide. There is a total disregard for professionalism and customer service at this place. No one from the original staff is there from the elder Dr. Valdez days and now I see why. It is apparent that they value money in their pocket over long standing patient relationships. Keep your cash and find yourself a more ethical and patient-focused dental provider.

I found these fine folks on Yelp and loved the choice! From the 1st phone call I was in love with them. Rachel, the office manager is so very friendly and patient! The doctors are professional but very friendly and patient. The dental assistants are so sweet and kind. We have been going to the same dentist in Anaheim for over 30 years and were worried that we would find a good dentist in Chino. Well, WE DID!
