Reliably good food and service. It's always one of our go-to first choices in Chico. We visited 5th Street Steakhouse again tonight for our anniversary. Our server Carina B. did a great job. Thanks for a wonderful evening. 04/05/24 I stopped in for lunch today with my mom. Absolutely lovely meal.

My SigFig and I wound up here at the recommendation of a friend who used to live in Chico. We went with a shrimp in BBQ sauce appetizer, which had a delicious dimensional array of peppery afternotes. We split the night's special, which was a filet mignon, crab, asparagus, and mashed potatoes with a bernaise sauce. The meat was perfectly cooked to medium rare, the potatoes were creamy and appropriately seasoned. The bernaise sauce was a great offset to the richness of the meal, and the asparagus was expertly steamed to a point where there was a slight crunch to the spears, without leaving the ribs of the spear too ribbed and thready. The wine paired with the meal was exquisite and perfectly matched to the meal. We ate on the patio, and staff was very attentive to keeping the heaters warm without being oppressive. Our waiter, Rudy, was attentive without being intrusive. Will definitely be back to let an exquisite meal be the backdrop to an intimate and romantic evening.
