Inappropriate Comments. Long story short, after asking if I needed shorts Twice (pre-appointment and at the Appointment) and being told No Twice. Dr. Martin asked me where my Boyfriend was (he was in the parking lot) Then he asked me to take off my pants. I was Shocked, being offered shorts moments ago. I actually ripped my pants to roll them up past my knee all while he discouraged me from my attempts and making comments like "you'll never get them up high enough", "I just need to take a quick look". Based on my experience, I have never gone back. Orthopedic Surgeons are a dime a dozen. Trust your gut feeling.

I'd like to apologize first of all to Dr Martin for taking so long to do this. "Technical issues" Ok Dr Martin is the real deal, I was an ironworker for many years and that trade is very hard physically on everyone . 1. Tore my left shoulder bad enough so that dr. Martin could not Fix-It orthoscopicly . That shoulder still feels better then the one I never injured perfect. 2. Hit by a hit-and-run driver on 680 destroyed my left knee. Dr. Martin had to install a cadaver tendon for my ACL inner and outer meniscus both tore up over 10 years I still do not walk with a limp The only doctor I've ever met that even comes close do this guy's caliber fix my broken back however he was dr. Martens best friend and study partner all through medical school go figure

My knee "gives out" periodically, although there is no pain. This has been going on for more than 40 years but only began to concern me because I have recently fallen several times, subsequently had back surgery and now am using a cane until I feel sure I will not fall again (my PCP says there are no apparent medical conditions that caused these falls). Dr. Martin looked at my MRIs and was not at all apologetic in stating that he felt the radiologist had misread the films films (or whatever they're called), that my situation was not int the least bit serious and that it did not require any type of invasive procedure (which corroborated what my P.T. had told me, but I wanted an opinion from a specialist MD)--that it was likely due to my sciatica, which other specialists have also told me persists somewhat even after surgery. Dr. Martin could have easily made some nice $$ off of me by saying I needed surgery and I never would've been the wiser. But I had heard he was conservative when it came to performing surgery, so I was pretty confident that would not happen. He listened to what I had to say (VERY nice guy, BTW), examined me, had me do a few exercises and said I was good to go. Special thanks to his office manager Cassandra, who is just tops!
