Title: "Hardworking Staff, Management Concerns at Dollar Tree Castaic" Review: I recently visited the Dollar Tree in Castaic and had a mixed experience. The store was bustling with activity, and amidst this, one young lady at the cash register was doing a phenomenal job handling the crowd. Her efforts to maintain efficiency and customer service were admirable, especially considering the circumstances. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by an interaction with the store's management. When she called for assistance due to the growing line, the manager's response was less than professional, snapping at her in front of customers. This incident was unsettling and did not reflect well on the store's overall management. The situation escalated when an older lady, apologetically, asked for balloons, highlighting the strained resources and the long wait times customers were facing. It was disheartening to see customers feeling the need to apologize for such a simple request. What was most concerning was the manager's response when approached for the district manager's contact information. His remarks about being on a lunch break, coupled with an apparent inability to hire more staff, indicated a lack of adequate support for the store's operations. In summary, while the staff, particularly the cashier, showed commendable dedication and customer service skills, the management's approach and the staffing issues significantly impacted the overall shopping experience. It's crucial for higher management to address these concerns to ensure both employee welfare and customer satisfaction.

This store is still a dump. Regional and corporate refuse to use any common sense and logic. Takes more than two people to keep the store clean, restock the shelves and man the registers. My heart goes out to the staff, guarantee they had no idea what they signed up for. UPDATE: Today there seemed to be two supervisors and at least three or four workers/cashiers. Vast improvement since my last visit. No surprise, all the fall / Thanksgiving decor is out (why it is only November 1?) - and all the Christmas items are now in the process of being displayed. Still dirty and still messy in some of the aisles. I straighten up as I go through the aisles as my OCD kicks in and drives me crazy on how disrespectful shoppers are. Most of it done by children, and the parents do not even reprimand the child and leaves a mess. Hope that the number of employees per shift will be adequate.
