Five Below

A brand new location in the Carmichael area. This store has a great variety of items at a very low price. Some items are even good quality. It's definitely a must if you are looking to purchase a present.

I initially had a bad experience during check-out, but the store manager, Sherry, was very kind and quickly did everything she could to right the situation with her staff. Just a heads up for people with anxiety, 5 Below is transitioning from self check out to having their employees check you out on the self check out kiosk. You have to wait in line for an employee to ring up your purchase on one of two open registers as part of their "customer engagement". Per their corporate offices you can still do self check out if you tell the employees you'd prefer to be left alone rather than have an employee ring up your purchase and make small talk.

The employees harass you through the whole check out process. I get that 5 Below is trying to crack down in shoplifting, but the way they're making the whole check out process now is way too overboard.
