I am a former Dental Hygienist and was referred to Dr. Chu a few years ago by a hygienist who worked for him years ago, He and the staff are all excellent, caring and thorough. I love that he does not up-sell as do many offices. I send all of my Friends here.

Exceptional professionalism coupled with gracious courtesy. Extremely accurate diagnosis and complete cure by Dr. Chu. Hygienist Erin not only did a great job cleaning but she also asked about my brushing and flossing practices and made valuable suggestions for further improvement.

I am extremely happy to have found this dentist in Carlsbad.  Always been afraid of the dentist many dentist in the past have caused either pain or fear or both. I have finally found a dentist that is gentle caring and so diligent. I feel happy to endorse Dr. Chu and his entire team including both hygienist that worked with me Erin who did the deep cleaning was patient with my fear they offered such care that if you are afraid to see a Dentist as I have been, feel free to give Dr. Chu a call... they follow all protocols from the CDC and best dental experience I have ever had.

I went to Neil Chu August of last year for tooth pain. I had insurance and provided my insurance information for the consultation. He recommended tooth extraction and an implant. I decided to go for a second opinion and found a dentist who was able to save the tooth and put on a crown. When I left the office they told me the consultation and x-ray were fully covered by my insurance. They did not submit the insurance claim until many months later at which point it was no longer covered. I received a bill for $41 nearly a year after my consultation and a letter notifying me I would be sent to collections if I did not pay. I paid the invoice but I was unhappy with my overall experience which ranged from the initial consultation although way through dealing with their back-office. They had many opportunities to handle this in a better way and unfortunately chose to take none of them which is why the 1 star review.

Best all-time dentist I've ever seen and all of his staff are wonderful. Now my entire family and several friends go to Dr. Chu. Thank you!
