I am sorry but I feel like Tommy way over reacted to this situation.when he told me in the beginning that he does the artwork on his own, without the customer present, and charges by the hour for the artwork I had a feeling that could be a problem. Still I gave a deposit and made an appointment. I changed the appt a couple times then when it was time for him to start drawing I sent him some pics. We texted back and forth I changed my mind a lot and finally he did a drawing for me. It was what I had described but I wasn't feeling it. I decided to hold off and he let me know when next appts were available. After a couple weeks I asked for an appt. He didn't respond and after a few days I figured he didn't want to deal with my indecisiveness which I totally understood! I texted him that if he didn't want to give me an appt could I please have my deposit back? He totally blew up at me. He was super offended. He said he didn't want to work with me because of my attitude, that I was treating him like his time wasn't worth anything and he was going to refund my deposit. I apologized and tried to explain that I thought my own behavior had caused him not to want to work with me. He then changed his mind and said he would give me HALF my deposit back and lucky to get that. He said he would warn his whole tattoo shop not to work with me. But I only asked for it back because I felt like the deposit was meant to hold my place fot an appt and i wasnt getting one. I definitely didnt think the time texting and making a small drawing could have been worth $200. i don't want to pay for his time when I don't know what he's drawing and if it's even close to what I want. So he spent time drawing something but I couldn't watch him doing it so I couldn't give input if I didn't like it. I wish he hadn't gotten so offended.
