Several months ago, one of the pipes in the apartment sprung a leak causing water to flow into our bathroom. The repair was significant as it affected multiple units and took well over a month of digging and concrete removal in order to replace all the old rusted out iron pipes. We were without access to the kitchen sink and water for the entire month and the noises from heavy equipment during the repair was deafening, with levels recorded well over 115 dB. The situation affected my 92 year-old mother the most, as she is not in the best of health. The apartment manager assured us we would be compensated for each day of the repair which means a month of free rent. Unsurprisingly, we were never compensated. This conduct is typical of the De Soto Valley Apartment management as it is only one of many issues.
