Mochiko Mochi Pizza

Took some time to get the pizza but it tasted amazing!

Small shop with outdoor seating only. We ordered the medium combo (1-2 flavors) and it was around $15-$20 total. It was a 15 minutes wait for a fairly small size (4 slices). The crust is similar to flatbread (its thin) but you do taste the mochi texture in the crust. However, the pizza as a whole was subpar. It was salty, the pepperoni didnt curve up like the marketing. We got half pepperoni and half curry. Curry side wasnt bad with corn bits but definitely didnt wow us. What brought the rating down was that I found a hair in my crust; baked in! I tried pulling it out but it was stuck in there (photo attached). Overall, price isnt worth it because of the size, taste, and time it took to make.

We had a large 3 style combo pizza. Cheese, Pepperoni, and spicy pork. The flavors were so yummy! The pizza crust was crunch, but also soft/chewy like mochi dough. Was 15 minutes from order to ready to eat. We couldnt resist and ate it in the car before we got home! Couldnt resist. The cheese was my favorite. Great flavors of the tomato jam and cheese. Cant wait to try again!

The pizza is just flat out mediocre. From what I saw, it seems that the crust is premade and simply re-heated when you order. For people who are really into pizza, you know how much of a big deal that is. The crust has a biscuit-like, crunchy texture like a cookie on the outside. The mochi part is barely chewy. Nothing about this pizza stands out. Thoroughly mediocre. It's $15 for 4 thin and tiny slices of pizza. Would much rather spend my money on Golden Boy in San Mateo. Similar prices but just way better in every conceivable way. Cool to try the gimmick out once but will probably never come back for seconds.

Very cool usage of mochi! The texture of the mochi crust is fun and the curry topping complimented it well. Each slice is very hefty so you can share the whole pizza with a couple people!
