This was the first time we sold a home in 40 years. We used Debbie Wong who was recommended by a neighbor. She was prepared from day one. She explained everything so we could understand. Im sure we were like everyone else expecting an unattainable price in todays market. She provided us with a very good picture of what was attainable. We were impressed with her marketing plan and selected her and her team. We were leaving the area the following week. She kept us updated and provided us with an offer within our expectation. In the meantime, I was unexpectedly put in the hospital. Her daughter and went to work taking over things we were unable to do. We were 500 miles away. In early 2022, Debbie & Marla sold our home in Livermore and then closed our new home in Marina. Based on this experience, they are now our go-to realtors. Excellent realtors are far and few between. What my wife and I both remarked on, when it comes to the Wongs, is their hard-won confidence. That is, they are successful at what they do because they work at it. They don't go through the motions. They research, analyze, present their findings, ask questions and listen; over and over again. And through it all - the ups and downs - they were consistently focused on our goals while always being genuinely warm, gracious and professional. We knew we weren't their only clients but we felt like it. This confidence-through-competence allowed us to stay calm and collected. Let me leave you with just one anecdote, regarding our sale. Debbie & Marla found out that our next door neighbors were putting their home on the market at the same time. They immediately told us that they'd been through this before and explained how they were going to respond. Then the Wongs went to work, setting up a collaborative relationship with the neighbors and their realtor; articulating a win-win strategy that they readily agreed to. One last thing, and I wish I had a photo to show. Both the For Sale signs were up at the same time, ours and our neighbor's. Ours was clean, fresh and mounted plumb-straight. The sign from the neighbor's realtor? Worn, faded & askew. From start to finish; from strategy to detail, the Wongs bring it.
