image I booked the hotel online before my travel so that I can rest during my 14 hours layover at SFO. I was traveling with my cat on Feb 27. The main reason for booking the hotel was to let the cat recover from the long flight from Singapore. I booked this hotel because they claim to waive the pet fee if booked through their website. When we arrived, the receptionist was exceptionally rude and unprofessional. He was reluctant to cooperate. Even though the hotel says it's pet-friendly, according to him, cats were not allowed, only dogs were allowed. Then he said the cat needs to stay in the carrier during the whole duration of my stay and also threatened me to charge $500+ if they spotted any damage by the cat after my stay. I didn't book the hotel to keep the cat in the carrier, if so, I could've just stayed at the airport! They also made me deposit $100 just because I had a cat. Later only returned $77. Why was I charged $23 extra even though I left the room in top-top condition? And none of these policies were mentioned in their website nor did they mention it over phone when I called them before booking.

image I think my selection speaks for itself. 3 points for the room, 1 point for the service, and 5 for the location, and only because I had to meet someone at the airport and the shuttle was free and almost on time. The rooms are OK for the price charged, but Motel 6 has a leg up on the Vagabond Inn at SFO. The price is very reasonable especially if you have a pet. Our golden retriever was free. The emplacement is great if you need to catch a flight or BART for the City. However, when we stopped there on the 7th of March, the lady mending the front desk was everything but a lady. I dont mind the thick and mumbling accent difficult to understand but I do mind the condescending tone and rude attitude she adopted toward me. Details dont matter much, just know that if you want to feel welcome, dont book a room there, pay a bit more and pick another hotel nearby, there are plenty, because the staff running this hotel, two of them for what we could tell, doesnt deserve your patronage. It feels like stepping into a dollar store without the charm. Don't stay there.
Je traduis en un clin dil, si vous tes fauchs et avez un animal de compagnie, restez dans cet htel qui ne vous facturera pas pour votre animal. Le bus pour laroport est gratuit, un avantage aussi. Si vous dsirez un minimum de service et de respect, payez un peu plus et rservez un htel proximit, il y en a des dizaines dans le mme quartier. Le personnel de ce motel, en tous les cas la rceptionniste qui ma reue le 7 mars au soir na absolument aucune qualification requise pour travailler dans lhospitalit, un mot qui lui chappe totalement.
