We had Alex from Ortiz Heating come to evaluate replacing our existing 27 year old furnace in our Oakland home. Alex answered all of our questions and displayed his knowledge of the local code requirements. He identified the specifics of the work to be completed and why he chooses to use a certain brand of equipment. His quoted price was comparable to a larger east bay HVAC company. It was easy to schedule the date for installation. The 2 man crew that performed the work was great. The crew was very professional and courteous, explained the work that they performed and cleaned up everything when they finished the job. A few years ago, I also hired Ortiz Heating to install all new ducting and 3 furnaces in our 3 unit building. It was a complex job that took time. But all of the occupants were extremely pleased with the results.

I contacted Ortiz Heating and Air conditioning and spoke to Alex who answer my questions thoroughly. Freddy came to my house and performed a service which saved my air conditioning system that another contractor told me I had to replace and couldnt be fixed. I also hired them to do another job to separate my two story home into two zones. All areas are now comfortable and my system works great. These guys are knowledgeable , Professional and Honest. I highly recommend this company.

Alex was awesome. He showed up on time, was friendly and inspected all components of my HVAC system. He provided photos for the equipment not visible from my unit and offered several suggestions for ongoing maintenance. Ortiz was recommended by my neighbor and I will gladly recommend them to others.
