Unethical billing practices. We requested appointments for an annual physical/wellness check (covered 100% by insurance with no charges) but the medical office coded both as "new patient appointments" (not 100% covered by insurance) so they could "get us in sooner," which we did not agree to. They also billed additional money for a "specialist visit" because the doctor discussed our medical history - you know, like doctors are supposed to do (at no extra cost). The office manager and the billing office refused to change the charges. As a result they will lose us as patients. I confirmed with the billing office and the office manager that this is what happened so any attempt to rebut this information is a lie. No transparency in billing and purposeful upcharges by intentionally coding visits incorrectly and referring to the primary care physician as his own specialist. - to your marketing and PR team: please don't respond here and ask me to contact you so you can "help," as I've already wasted enough time on this. If you really want to help you can find a way to stop this practice and then contact ME to reimburse me the money I had to pay.
