As a new patient I can say that my experience was very good. Doctor Malik was very attentive and took his time to check my health Records and listen to my questions. The staff and nurses were very nice and efficient too. Had a very good first impression.

It has recently been a very trying experience dealing with this medical group. In 3 visits I have not met with an MD or PA, only a nurse practitioner. It has come to light that the staff does not know how to follow thru with paperwork with White Memorial Radiology Dept so I have been unable to get 2 ultrasound tests as prescribed by the nurse practitioner 3 months ago. Yesterday, March 13, I had my 3rd visit (again w/ the nurse practitioner only) to go over a March 7 blood test I took as prescribed by the nurse practitioner. The nurse practitioner gave me 4 pages of blood test results from the lab that had moments ago been completed. This was odd since I took the blood test on March 7. Why did it take a whole week for the lab results to be completed and available for review? The nurse practitioner didn't even notice this oddity while I was in the office with her. I didn't have my reading glasses with me so I couldn't inspect the lab paperwork until the appt was over and I got home. At home (with my reading glasses on) I saw at the top of the lab test under "Ordering Physician" the name of a different doctor. OMG! The nurse practitioner gave me the wrong blood test results! I have been seeing 5 specialist doctors - all medically unrelated issues - so it's not uncommon to have those doctors order blood tests for other disorders as well. I had taken a blood test on March 12 as prescribed by an unrelated & different doctor for an upcoming March 18 appt. The March 12 blood test results is what the nurse practitioner provided to me, not her March 7 blood test results. Can't the nurse practitioner's staff figure out how to ask or look for the specific "Ordering Physician's" lab results? I don't think the staff is supposed to look at, or print, other doctors' medical tests. So now this oncology office has shared my medical history from a different doctor with the nurse practitioner. As soon as I caught the mistake at home I called the office to report the error and asked that a copy of the correct lab results be emailed to me. The staff asked for my phone number where I could be reached to discuss the matter and I confirmed my cell #. 24 hours have passed and I have not received any phone calls or correct lab report from this office. This has really scared me. I no longer trust the nurse practitioner, staff, or any information that has been provided to me from the Oncology Institute of Hope & Innovation located in Burbank, CA. I shall not be returning to this medical office. I will contact Medi-Cal and ask to switch to a new hematologist.
