Communication, honesty, and understanding are the key to any situation. I can honestly say that requiring services at East County Family Law firm, did just that. I was hesitant throughout the process. What do I know about the legal system? But Elizabeth spoke to me and understood what I needed. Took everything in consideration when we spoke. And showed professionalism and dedication to my case. In any service that you attain, you expect a positive outcome. You expect empathy and compassion as well as a satisfying result. I did not see all this until my services where finished. Liz showed that she cares more about her clients and the case then anyone. That I wasn't just another number. I MATTERED. So if you want legal service, you can go anywhere. But if you want someone that cares, understands what your going through, and truly cares for their clients and the outcome, then choose Liz at East County Family Law. They'll tell you just like it is - and it's just what you likely may need. They say you get what you pay for in law, but the East County Family Law could easily charge more based on the work they produce. Great for filing paperwork with or without the help of an attorney. Need an uncontested dissolution? Haven't ever seen a better price on the market.

My friend and I researched and chose East County Family Law in Brentwood California because they seemed to have a lot of positive reviews. Now I see that most of their Yelp reviews are from under-established accounts. It's too late for us so I'm writing this to tell other Yelpers the facts of our situation. East County Family Law Group canceled the appointment I helped my friend research and set up right she was supposed to arrive. This was for an urgent situation (law enforcement involved) and we thought we had found a good lawyer and that she was in good hands. She had already had an initial phone call with them, shared information on the case/situation, arranged for their requested 10k down and sent files to their office. We went and paid their appointment fee and she received an email confirmation on the appointment time. They had asked that she leave her kids at home so she also arranged everything so she could take off time to meet the designated time that East County Family Law had confirmed. I drove more than two hours back up to Brentwood to stay with her two special needs children (I'm a teacher who took the day off of work to support a friend in an emergency situation) but while I was otw, the law office called her to cancel, citing conflict of interests.  They canceled... the same morning, just before her morning appointment time, after the appointment fee had been paid and all other necessary arrangements had been made. What could the conflict of interest have been at that late stage? Needless to say, she was devastated and we had to start all over. I definitely would not recommend East County Family Law Group. Won't see you there.

This law group is completely unethical, immoral, incompetent, unprofessional, and downright shady! Michael Amthor submits false claims and changes court documents (check you Findings After Hearing). He will keep you IN the system for as long as possible and try to destroy your family rather than do the right thing and settle your case as quickly and as amicably as possible because all he wants is money and revenge. East County Family Law cares only about doing what is best for their law firm while you and your family will walk away poor and more broken.
