My mom grew up across the freeway from this structure and she has great fond memories of walking from the south side of Cedar over Highway 10 across Highway 10 because there was no overpass there was as they told it the first cars coming down the pipe it was a big deal back then and they would go over there to the garage and Uncle Charlie being that he was the Fix-It king of all time he would sit there mesmerized watching The Mechanics Work

This is another historical landmark that Bloomington has to offer, the original location was at the AM/PM that's at the Cedar Ave and Valley Blvd Intersection. It was built in 1912 it was a Blacksmith Shop / Garage and later became a Gas station and it's considered as a Historical Points of Interest at 1991. But it was moved to this location sometimes within 1997-1998 in order to preserve it after the land it was originally on was purchased in order to build the AM/PM Gas station.
