North Lake Hiker Parking

A fine place to park your vehicle while you explore the wonders beyond. But a strong word of caution. Beware the parking lot troll who roams this lot. In Sierras' realm where gravel gleams, A parking lot troll in sunlight beams, Responding to nature's urgent call, I parked in haste, needing to stall. But the troll appeared, shuffling around, A twisted smile, his only crown, "Why park so there?" he slyly mused, Curiosity laced with words abused. "Your parking skills, a curious play, No grace, no finesse, on this sunny day," He taunted loud, his tone askew, As if my choice of spot was his to review. Beneath the Sierras' towering height, I stood with patience, battling spite, For sometimes haste is what we're dealt, Life's pressing needs can make us melt. With a steady heart and kindness still, I faced the troll's unfriendly thrill, In the gravel lot, his power waned, As I refused to let his words be ingrained. So remember, in Sierras' embrace, Kindness and understanding leave no trace, No troll's critique, no scornful grin, Can break the spirit that lies within.

Fun little drive up the mountain. The lake had a neat mirror reflection going on, but didn't stay long since the mosquitoes were going bananas on my flesh! Lol

A great hike that is usually not too-crowded. From here getting to Grass Lake is not too bad of a climb. Additionally, Lamarck Lakes is another fantastic destination for short backpacking trips.
