Mikimoto

I noticed this Mikimoto location when walking to Chanel's temporary location. It is also on Wilshire, next to a restaurant. The brand is known for their luxury Pearl jewelry. The shop buzzes you in if you wish to shop, which matches other premium jewelry stores in the area. It's a small boutique but makes very good use of the space without it feeling crowded. I wanted to show my parents the Mikimoto X Comme des Garcons collection necklace in person, which I had seen at South Coast Plaza. (Pictures can't do the pieces justice.) Luckily they had some of the collection in stock for me to view. The staff were all friendly and helpful there. (Maybe a little eager to make a sale, but otherwise it was a good experience.) I did not walk out with the necklace as I had an appointment to rush to, but it was great visiting this location and trying on the necklace again. Pieces are higher than your average Pearl jewelry but you are paying for quality and luxury. You can find street parking or a public lot in terms of parking. I tend to choose the lot by Crate and Barrel as it's not far from the main drag and is a pleasant walk.
