This is a renovated 1950s style motel. The rooms are decorated nicely with some amazing marble tile work and stone (yes stone!) furniture. The carpet in our room looked to be nearly original (and in need of replacement). The beds are very comfortable and the linens are as good as you would hope for from a boutique high end hotel. There is quite a bit if road noise and noise from adjoining rooms and the courtyard. If possible, try to stay on the 3rd floor, otherwise you may hear people's footsteps above you. Note that there is apparently a separate building in addition to the main building. While I did not see the other building I'd surmise the main building is where you want to stay. Hotel staff was friendly. There is a hotel restaurant and bar. I felt the service at the bar was friendly but inattentive. Prices are relatively high, but that's to be expected in Beverly Hills. I did not appreciate the small print 4% added "wellness fee" on the bar bill. Given the prices of the drinks, and the expectation to still tip 20%, I felt this added and nearly hidden fee was petty and a bit of "nickel and diming" the customers.
