Dr. Ted Khalili saved my life. I had a gastric bypass surgery (from another physician) that went horribly wrong. I was discharged after my initial surgery only to discover that the procedure had punctured my stomach wall and I was going septic. After going into a SoCal emergency room and their doing the best that they could - at which point I was on and off life support - I was transferred to emergency critical care at Cedars Sinai - and to Dr. Khalili. He immediately stabilized me - addressed the puncture in my stomach and slowly got me through weeks of grief. Many people ask me if I would take the risk of bariatric surgery over again. My answer ? Yes if the surgeon was Ted Khalili. He is not only an exceptional surgeon but he is an ethical honorable person. He did what was right, from the start, kept me under his direct observation multiple times a day for several weeks - and got me from having less than 1% chance of coming through this ordeal, to being alive today. Who you choose as your surgeon is as important as what type of surgery you do. Dr. Khalilis professionalism and focus saved my life. He took the multiple critical mistakes of another surgeon and addressed each one. I would recommend him over any other bariatric surgeon in this country or any other. Ted Khalili is in a class of one.
