10/10 would recommend. Marlena is a gem hidden in Berkeley!! She is the sweetest person ever. First time waxing bc I love sugaring and i'm going to admit that she has converted me to waxing. She talked me through it and made my experience that much easier and pleasurable. Love her!!

I, unfortunately, had a really terrible waxing experience at another salon (ahem, EWC) and was left with lots of broken hairs, inflammation, and ingrowns. Luckily, in my search for relief, I found Marlana. From the start of the appointment to the end, she was nothing but sweet and understanding. She assessed and listened to my concerns and treated me accordingly (her bedside manner and ability to make folks feel comfortable is amazing btw) And then when the treatment began, she took her time with me. I was in need of some pretty extensive extractions and she was adamant about making sure I wasn't leaving with a half finished service. Immediately after the vajacial, my skin had calmed and felt a million times better than when I'd stepped into her salon. Will definitely be booking my next waxing (and vajacial) appointment with her! She is an absolute gem !!
