Dr. Brian Assael DDS

I have a lot of issues with my teeth, and have had terrible experiences with dentists in the past. Dr Assael saw me on an emergency basis for a broken tooth, but the visit became so much more - his honest but non-judgmental approach to getting me back on track has helped me work through my fear of dental appointments. He and his assistants have shown compassion and encouragement, and I hope that I can celebrate with them when we finish our to-do list.

Dr. Assael has been our familys dentist for 15 years. Hes done amazing cosmetic dentistry on me and my boys actually look forward to his dental exams! Hes friendly and down to earth. I recommend with 5 stars!

He was recommended to me and seems to be a good dentist but I am 74 years old and cannot climb stairs. It never occurred to me to ask if he had access for the disabled as most places do. I thought this was required in Berkeley. However when I got there I discovered the only access to his office was  an outdoor stairway. I called the office and asked if they had disabled access and was told they didn't. The person I spoke with was very unconcerned and unsympathetic to my situation and I was forced to cancel my appointment.

greatest dentist ever. i have terrible teeth . no judgement, no pain here. just a solid plan to move forward. i wish i had come here years ago.

Dr Assael is awesome and approachable. My composite fillings fell off and because it was my front teeth, I called to make the earliest appointment. They allowed me to go in and Dr Assael did a good job.
