Stay away, far away. I am writing a long review because I think potential customers need to be warned. I have never encountered such a shady, volatile, so-called "professional" (NOTE: she is NOT a certified public accountant). She has been doing my 97-year-old mother's taxes for years and this year I started paying attention to my mom's finances (given her age it was overdue). Although we gave Patricia all the materials over a month before the April tax deadline, she neglected to file my mom's taxes. We are only now learning this in August, when Patricia called my mom to say she needed to come in to sign/get the forms! We are pretty sure Patricia did not even file for an extension, as she could not provide any documentation. She claimed my mom would not have any IRS penalty--a blatant lie. The IRS requires estimated tax payments at the time one files for an extension, and she never communicated to my mother that she had not filed her taxes in back in April! We looked at the IRS paperwork Patricial just prepared (4 months late!), and saw multiple discrepancies. We were especially shocked to see that Patricia significantly padded the amount my mother owed in taxes--a sneaky, unethical way to cover up the fine my mother would have due to Patricia's negligence. When I called Patricia to ask about the discrepancy between what the forms say my mom owed and what she was asking my mom to pay the IRS, she started screaming at me on the phone, ultimately yelling that my 97-year-old mom could find another accountant--she would not be filing her taxes electronically. Clearly, based on my pointed questions, she realized we were onto her shenanigans. Also, beware that although she says her tax preparing fee is $300, when the bill arrives, she has add-ins for bizarre things that raise the bill significantly (in my mom's case, she was charged $130 ("processing and packaging"), plus another $110 ("E-file and tech") and another $30 ("new tax law upgrade"), bringing the total to $570 for a 97 year-old's super-straighforward tax preparation bill (my mom only has social security and modest investment funds). Patricia says that these extra fees are to cover the costs of her classes and having to buy computer programs! Who does that?! So now my mother is stuck with an IRS fine due to Patricia's negligence about filing my mom's taxes on time. We fear that my mom is not the only one being scammed, as Patricia seems to have a lot of senior citizen patients. Be warned...

She's not a CPA, so her knowledge of tax law is limited, but charges CPA fees. She's fine, as long as you don't ask questions. If you ask tough questions, she's rude and dismissive. If she's too busy at tax time, she simply doesn't file your return and tells you months later. Stay away and don't believe the positive reviews.

Patricia comes on sweet as candy but be forewarned she is nasty, pushy, rude at a moments notice! She may be a good accountant but team player - no dice! I was warned and now warn you!

In my 60 years of life, I can tell you for certain that Ms. Mouille should consider retirement. I was sitting in your small office area with a single chair waiting for her and could hear Ms. Mouille speaking rudely to another client in the office. Her receptionist and I were both surprised. When I went in to see her for my appointment, she was equally disrespectful. I decided to discontinue the appointment and find another accountant to work with. You would never expect this by the photos of all the babies she has on the wall and her affluent Tiburon location. Needless to say, no matter how good someone does our taxes, I do not feel it is worth sacrificing my integrity to listen to such behavior. I believe she has been doing her job for so long, she has no more patience and should consider a long needed break. ____NOTE take a look at this other review: Tom Boynton Patricia comes on sweet as candy but be forewarned she is nasty, pushy, rude at a moments notice!
