Burrowdale Inn

Best vacation imaginable! Incredible spacious and well appointed hobbit home with all the luxuries desired. The view was delightful and we took walks through the shire at sunset. Every breakfast (1st, 2nd and 3rd) over three days was as good as a five star hotel. You Must get the Shire-cuterie board as its the best weve ever had, honestly. Our hosts Lael & Amy were wonderful kind and helpful people and we will definitely be back again, with more hobbit friends! :)

Wonderful bed and breakfast set in quiet rolling hills. The rooms are great with many small details to be discovered. Also an ideal home base to visit Lassen National Park, McCloud Falls, and Castle Crags State Park while being close to Redding.

What an amazing bed and breakfast. The rooms are spectacular with so much caring detail. The food is exceptional and you definitely arent hungry after. The property is stunning and quiet. We had such an amazing two night stay. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast, especially if you like the Hobit, a cozy room and good food!

We had the most amazing stay at the Burrowdale Inn! Lael was an exceptional host, welcoming and always with a smile on his face. You can tell they have poured their heart and souls into creating such a unique experience for those of us that our Tolkien fans as well as those just looking for a private getaway near the mountains. Amenities were well thought out, and we were even able to bring our doggo for the stay! The Shire-cuterie board was top notch, and second breakfast is a MUST! We will absolutely be returning and thank you again to our hosts for such a magical and comfortable experience.
