160 Driving Academy of Bakersfield

I've wasted my time, money and gas here, a lot of false promises and not good results, You have to do a lot of DOT tests because the schools system is not organized, also the branch managers were not helpful to me in my experience. they had a lot of study guides that were compacted, small to read, unorganized, and missing steps. I had to get an extension on my permit too because of the instructors not being able to help me three to four times even though I scheduled to have them help me. If you do 60% of the class you are not refunded for anything that they did you wrong for either. Save your money, save your time. Don't. Go. Here.

Updated feedback. first impression we all expect to get into an average school classroom,nice yard,nice restrooms and good teachers/instructors. Reality Not the average school,portable restrooms,ugliest yard with potholes like sinkholes ,instructors are just regular former truckers which is good and bad depends on you but at the end of the road if you can adapt to those it will be easy when testing at DMV,everyone complains of not having enough time driving but they cant pass the pre-trip knowledge so be ready to self learn al paperwork they give you the soonest the better dont get stuck with pretrip for weeks just learned in first week and you will have more time for skills and driving.

Worst place to spend your money at, these people just suck at their job. 1st the instructors are hella over weight so expect em to just sit 99% of the time. Its student teaching student, for some reason they already expect you to know what to do, with out you ever doing it or being told how to do it. If you're with Amazon its even worse cuz they use up your tuition by not helping you at all and leaving you on the side to figure it out yourself, then they'll tell you its how trucking is, highly dont recommend.

I had a great experience going through 160. They really helped me obtain my CDL. Gave me good advice on how to drive. While going through the school many instructors help me with job leads. And they were very accommodating while going through school. Everyone there were nice and generous. I recommend this school to anyone.
