What a gift Bakersfield has. I wanted a way to wear my wedding ring without another resize, which was done poorly by another in-town jeweler. I haven't been able to wear it for 27 years. Kandy is the expert that allowed me to wear my 46 year old ring. Thank you so much. Service is above reproach. Helpful. Friendly. A very reasonable turnaround. Old fashioned service that I've not seen in years. A blessing.

Pam is amazing! This is the third time I have turned to Latham Sheets for jewelry redesign and purchase. Each time has been a trerrific experience. Pam did an outstanding job of listening and respecting how I wanted to turn a family heirloom into a necklace. I am more than pleased with her design. Pam's bubbly, lively, sincere personality makes shopping at Latham Sheets a wonderful time.

Honestly only giving 2 stars because the lady was nice or else I'd be giving 1 star. This is one of the most outrageously priced jewelry stores I have ever been to...was quoted 4000$ for a tiny custom piece, and that exact same thing with even MORE gold weight at a different jeweler was 1200$. When I say outrageously overpriced I mean it. I've heard from many jewelers that there are a lot of bad jewelers out there, not just in terms of product quality, but in regards to their pricing...they assume that the common consumer is not educated on jewelry pricing and that everyone just assumes jewelry is insanely expensive when some of these pieces really aren't at all. Just thankful that I'm slightly educated and didn't get played by this place because if I had, I'd be pretty upset when finding out how much the piece is really worth.

I took an old and valuable watch into their shop. I needed to have the back case removed in order to get a good look at the watch serial number s that I can get an appraisal for reselling. The woman assisting me was friendly and helpful, but basically took a screwdriver and tried to pry the back off. After not being able to get it off, and seeing that a screwdriver was being used, I took my watch and left. The watch did have some scratches on the back from it's age and normal wear. Now there are clear marks in between the face and the backing where you can see someone has tried to gouge them apart. I'm certain that the value of the watch has decreased significantly due to this irreparable damage. I would much rather be told that they don't have the proper equipment to remove the back carefully rather than having someone take a screwdriver to my expensive watch. I'm sure they have a fine store for purchasing jewelry, but I would never recommend giving them anything of value to repair or work on. Extremely disappointed with my choice to take the watch there thinking there would be a level of professionalism and expertise in this area, especially since their signage clearly stated watch repair and battery changes.
