Stockdale Elementary School

Just moved from boyle hight to bakersfield and my son goes to stockdale elementry and love this school for him and also loves it

Stockdale is a great school with great teachers. Both of my children have had Mrs Granger and she is an amazing teacher. She communicates well with the children and parents. I have actually requested her to be my children's teacher. She is a strong teacher and encourages the kids and strives to help them do and be the best the can. When my youngest old enough to be in her class, I hope she is still at Stockdale so I can request for her to be his teacher.

Mrs. Granger is a wonderful teacher. The person who wrote an unkind review is sorely mistaken because she takes such good care of her students, takes the time and effort to understand them in their individuality, and has a kind, loving, nurturing soul.

It's not a great school. Its ok. The reviewer who mentioned Mrs. Granger being difficult and rude was spot on. She was awful both years my son was in her class. Suggested we home school. I heard her own child at the school is quite the handful. All that meditation only works on other people's kids, apparently. The principal's wife made a point of letting everyone on the Nextdoor app that the school is perfect and how dare someone ridicule the school when a parent whose child was falling being with a no homework policy their teacher had posted asking if other people had the same issue. So, some really snotty teachers, and don't try to ask for help. Your child is the issue and has a learning issue as far as most teachers are concerned. Nevermind testing in the 99th percentile in math and 87th in reading. but, yes, take recess away from the child  really need to get that energy out. And have fun participating in PTA if you are not a SAHP. Meeting are 9am Tuesday mornings....

Both my kids attend Stockdale Elementary. My kids love it here. The staff is caring and kind. My son had Mrs Granger for 1st and again for fourth. We thought she was a great teacher. We had a little misunderstanding this year, but it was handled very professionally and she took the time to talk to my son one on one, and I appreciated that so much. It meant a lot to us and him. She is soft spoken and maybe a little shy, I think that she can be misconstrued by some, but she is a lovely person who does care about the wellbeing of her students. My son had Mrs Franco for 3rd. He still tells us Franco stories. One example that come to mind, my son told us if the kids didn't understand a subject, she would tell them to come see her over lunch recess, and she would use her lunch time to work with them and help them understand the subject.  One of those teachers who goes above and beyond for her students. Awesome lady. My little one started kindergarten this year. She had Mrs Faulk. We really enjoyed her as well. My daughter cracks us up telling us kinder stories. So much fun. We are looking forward to another year at Stockdale Elementary!
