City of Bakersfield Building Department

Just letting you know, the City of Bakersfield Building Department, to be specific, is about to face a lawsuit. This is due to allegations that they profile building permit applicants for plan approval. Additionally, it's claimed that they don't review plans based on the current codes but rather on their own criteria. A letter has also been sent to the Mayor, Karen Goh. Plan checkers need to be advised that there is a reason why we have building codes, and their subjective opinions may not always align with what is right.

Very rude workers who don't understand proper customer service. They don't want to help you at all. If I could give no stars I would. If you don't like your job, find another one.

The staff is extremely rude I asked them about a timeframe and they were very rude about it not even friendly they want us to be out here from 8 AM to 4:30 PM without taking a lunch going to the restroom or doing anything there are making us violate our work laws to benefit them they need a better system very embarrassing for the city to do this they should be ashamed of themselves
