Family Birthing Center at Dignity Health - Mercy Hospital Southwest

I had a wonderful birth here. All of my nurses were so kind, especially Janelle and Chris. Everyone kept me comfortable and I felt very cared for. The postpartum staff was great as well, I would deliver here again.

Never have your baby here. I'm from LA and had the worst experience. The doctor over medicated me and I was forced into a c-section. I couldn't leave the hospital before having the c section as I couldn't walk from the medication they gave me. I called to file a complaint. the nurse had a bad attitude and l never got a call back. God will deal with those who mishandle his children. It took me months to get over the birth trauma. Now Im pregnant with my second baby and will most likely will not have my baby no where near Bakersfield especially as a black women.

Filipino nurses are CARELESS and RUDE . Do not have your baby here. They do not care , they do not listen .. my sister had a horrible stay and horrible experience for her first labor ..

Three months ago my grandbaby was born at this hospital the assistance and care my daughter and the new baby received was nothing less than God's blessing the staff and doctors are angels and im not saying this lightly i truly felt it even though it was easy to see that they were overwhelmed and carrying heavy burden of taking care of newborns and families at same time dealing with the covid , such a wonderful group of folks! You could wish for better treatment but i doubt you find it.
