Doctors Northrop, Mabasa, and Meyers are great! Criswell needs some bed side manner training...This review is about their office staff! This bs has been going on for almost two years. You can't get a return phone call, prescription refills, or a message to your doctor. For example: currently had an appointment with Meyers who said he was sending my prescription to the pharmacy "right now ". Next day, pharmacy hasn't received anything so I call his assistant. Of course, she doesn't have her voicemail set up and I leave a message as a reminder of the prescription and to call me back. No response.... Call Tuesday after holiday weekend, leave message with operator, still nada. I call again today, leave word with operator who says that Meyers assistant said she will start working on it. Still no response....This isn't a one time thing, happened a few months ago and all of earlier this year and last year with Mambasa's assistant, who was fired. I tried to get her to fill the prescription but wants me to make an appointment to come in even though I just saw the doctor a few days prior and Mambasa told me to just call if I need a refill or ask Dr Meyers.When this started happening at first, I complained because of the money and time it was costing me to go back and forth when they say just call. Nothing came of that...They like to send billing statements as Final Billing Statement, even though it is the first one. More fun is when you call to set up a payment plan and they tell you they don't do that but I'll note your account with what you'd like to do. Then you show up to your appointment and told you have a balance that needs to be paid. I let the woman know that I set up a payment arrangement. She said I need to set up a payment plan?!?!? Wtf, I told her what I was told and she started demanding dates, names, etc. I tell her the info, she doesn't believe me and states they record the calls.... Then listen to the recording! She finished by stating I need to make an payment today or it would go to collections.Their staff is a lost cause.....

I'm so appreciative to Dr Heinen and his office staff. They were so helpful, kind and patient. Very quick responses when asking for assistance with paperwork via email.

When I arrived at the office I was pleasantly surprised to see a smiling face. I was seen within 10 min.. The person doing the intake was great and I was then sent for exrays and the young man was pleasant, smiling and engaged me in conversation which was fantastic. Most times at other Ortho Groups the foks look tired, burned out and sad but at Risser everyone was pleasant and professional. I saw Dr. Myers at the Pasadena location and I must say I was very impressed with his knowledge and the care I received. I have no complaints and I am happy to find Risser.

If I could give zero stars I would.If your looking into pain management with this company please just DONT heres why, Im writing this on behalf of my mother who was referred to RISSER Orthopedic for pain management. On her first visit they needed a urine sample which she gave and was told at that time as soon as the the PA reviews the urine we will get you set up with a prescription. Thats not what happened, instead she called a week later only for them to tell her that the urine sample wasnt enough to test. All the while my mom started running low on her meds, and they where fully aware of her meds being low, and still needed another urine sample which she did right after finding out that the first urine sample was no good. Also,if she wouldnt have called to find out where she was with everything she would have never known about the urine sample because again they didnt follow through with calling her. Needless to say my mom ran out of meds and ended up at the ER because this group of Drs and assistants did absolutely nothing for her and treated her with disregard and dropped the ball way to many times. Im currently seeking legal advice.This establishment is unfortunately void of anyone who genuinely cares. After taking my mom to the ER and explaining what happened to her with the meds, the Dr there was shocked that RISSER didnt follow through with the care of their patient. If a person is on pain meds and doesnt have a refill and suffers a bad withdrawal and a possible seizure RISSER will laugh in your face. Im so disgusted,but happy that I got my mom to the right place for pain management.I can definitely recommend Glendale Adventist Hospital as they understood the severity of her discomfort.RISSER is a horrible place after dropping the ball for almost 3 weeks straight.
