Hilton Garden Inn Arcadia/Pasadena Area

We stayed one night here to attend an event at the Rose bowl the following day. Location is a short 14min drive to the Rose bowl and the room was affordable. The hotel receptionist was really friendly and even welcomed us with a diamond members bag! Not all hiltons do this so that was much appreciated. Our room was in a suite on the 4th floor. The room was clean, spacious and no issues. They offer a 24hr fitness center and the pool area looks well kept. We did have breakfast the next morning which was good. I would stay here again if in the area.

Not safe. We checked in late around 10pm, were followed by a person who harassed us by following us to our room, yelling and trying to kick down our door. The front desk person was really unhelpful, didn't answer the phone, so we had to call the police to escort us out of the room. I've never experienced anything like this at a Hilton property. I am a Hilton honors member and a Hilton timeshare owner for many years. Front desk was further inept at finding us a different location to spend the night, and finally didn't even do anything to make up for the issue. I had to pay for a full night at the second location as well, and then it took me weeks with several phone calls to get a refund from Arcadia. It makes me wonder if maybe the person who harassed us was friendly with the front desk staff. Or, is this commonplace in this part of town? Anyways, I will not consider staying at Hilton Garden Inn Pasadena/ Arcadia ever again. There no security in place. I didn't see a security guard, while other Hilton properties have security staff visible, especially late at night. Safety: Not safe. Hotel itself is nice inside, room was clean and comfortable and the location is pretty convenient. However, the elevators werent working for the majority of our stay and then the water shut off as well. I booked this hotel so myself and my daughter could get ready for a concert that evening, and we couldnt take a shower or anything and felt that the hotel was a waste because we couldnt clean up at all after a 5 hour drive. When I called the front desk the first person I talked to was short and hung up on me. The next morning at check out they were apologetic but refused to make anything right. They told me because I had paid in full there was nothing they could do. I didnt expect a full refund, maybe like a free breakfast or something since the hotel was not functional. Would not stay again.
