Thrifty Shutters

I wanted some window shutters, so I went on Yelp and gave a pretty close description of sizes and quantity of shutters I needed in order to get a decent vendor. Amongst about 10 responses, Thrifty Shutters had one of the more reasonable quotes. Joel was quick to respond (unlike some who didn't even bother - so why do they even have a presence on Yelp?), came out, measured my 6 windows and gave me a reasonable quote -- not too high -- not super low -- just about right. Plus he bought samples for me so I can see which shutter styles I'm actually getting. Now this isn't my first time around the shutter block. I've purchased many (4) throughout the years for various homes. This is my 5th time. So I know exactly what I wanted (e.g. size of shutter blinds and color). Tom and Allan (from Oceanside) came out to install and they were very sensitive to my needs of absolutely no shoes on the carpet. They bought pads and pads of pads and covered both my "white" carpet and the areas they were going to install the shutters. Very neat and very professional! At the end of a few hours, they were done and my shutters look beautiful! So beautiful in fact that a neighbor texted me and said "Nice Shutters" with a thumbs up! So thank you Thrifty Shutters! I love them in all my (5) rooms! The only caveat, I wish Thrifty Shutters did blinds too (I didn't know they couldn't do that stuff until after they came out to do an actual quote)! I still need to do my French Doors, Dutch Door and Kitchen (over the sink) Window.

I had to have 17 of my wood shutters replaced or repaired. It required some being manufactured. Thrifty owner Joel, was very professional, flexible and accommodating. Tom, who made some new shutters and repaired others, installed all of them. He was a very conscientious and meticulous craftsman! I highly recommend TS whether you need new ones or just repair work. They set an example for other businesses by doing great work and at reasonable prices!

We absolutely love our new shutters. We were in the market in search for suppliers and Joel was very straightforward. He communicated well and explained the options available. The process went smooth from getting the measurements up to installation of the shutters. Tom was very professional and knowledgeable in what he does. He answered all our questions and even gave us his recommendations. The building materials also became available sooner than expected. Overall, we are very satisfied with Thrifty Shutters quality of service. We highly recommend them!

The shutters arrived when Joe said they would arrive. Tom did an outstanding job of installation very neat and orderly. All in all a very pleasant experience would order them again. Great job.

They were very professional and always on time. The whole team is very friendly and know what they are doing. I was so happy and pleased with the quality and they look wonderful. I would definitely recommend Thrifty Shutters. My daughter is going to be using them next!!
