    Home Choice Property Management deserves a solid 1-star rating a cautionary tale for potential renters. This disgraceful management company shamelessly dipped into our security deposit using pre-move-out photos, engaging in illegal practices. Offering them an extra smoke detector to replace the faulty one they provided us meant nothing, as they charged us $65 for it later. The audacity doesn't end there; they squeezed an unjust $200 from us for an already demolished cabinet from the 80's. False promises of a free move-out on the 1st turned into a nearly $300 late fee. Then to top it all off they charged us over $200 for patching/painting drywall based off of the pre-move out photos, which we patched and painted before we even moved out. Despite being exemplary tenants for over 6 years, paying rent promptly, and maintaining the property immaculately, we faced disrespect, condescension, and neglect from the entire staff. Home Choice Property Management is a haven for greed and laziness. My life has improved by severing ties with these scam artists. Beware, as they not only lie & steal your money, but also mock you when you challenge their wrongdoing. Steer clear of this deplorable management your sanity and finances will thank you.

    We have been with Home Choice Propert Mgm for almost a year. They are very attentive and respond quickly to any questions. We haven't had any issues with our tenants so I guess that is a good sign. Would definitely recommend them.

    This organization is very deceptive. I applied for a home for rent from Zillow. There was clearly no indication of any income requirements, and they gladly took my application fee. I was given the runaround for days and unanswered calls. Finally was told I dont qualify with my income. After Ive given them all my sensitive information. I make over two times the rent that they were requesting through my main employment. Although theyve decided to refund my application fee I find it very deceptive in the way that theyve decided to advertise and run their business through Zillow in this manner. I dont recommend renting from this business unless they have it clearly posted. As a previous home owner I wouldnt use this business due to their lack of organization. Very disappointed. Update: company decided to reach out and ask why I wrote a bad review even though they agreed to refund the deceptively taken application fee. Bad reviews are here for companies to learn. Bad reviews are there for other people to not waste their time. Hopefully this company can turn around and not put blame on the unknowing party.

We don't know who Courtney Blake is. No such person is on any of the leases of the recent move-out and no such person resides in any other units we manage. I will address this response to the only recent move-outs: John, who recently moved-out and had a difference of opinion when we talked over the phone. It's unfair that you disparage our company and staff after we accommodated several of your requests with regards to your personal needs and pets during your tenancy. The lease includes a smoke detector addendum; it's a violation to tamper with smoke detectors and a liability to our owner clients as it violates their insurance policy. We have photographs from your move-out inspection, with evidence of possible smoking inside the unit - a lease violation and possible motivator to tamper with the smoke detectors. Even if the smoke detector is removed, someone still has to take the time to install and their time is a cost to the owners. To claim that the kitchen cabinet was "already demolished" is untrue. It's not possible to rent a unit with finishes in such condition. We have photo's in our records showing the cabinets in good condition prior to your move-in. Someone clearly punched or hit it with extreme force, causing irreparable damage and needing replacement.We provided a documented estimate for the costs to repair damages from a 3rd party handyman. Despite the cost you still received a majority of your security deposit (68%). Even after you vacated, We continued to accommodate you after you failed to remove expensive camera equipment left behind that you said you used for your Youtube productions. This was after you had informed us that you finished moving out and after you delivered the keys late to us. Someone had to be present to allow you to enter as we did not want to be responsible for any damage to your expensive camera equipment. Any late charges were due to your delay in providing the keys and leaving days after the last day of the month. The charges are common practice - if you don't vacate by the end of the month, then extra days are prorated and deducted from the security deposit. What you expected is special treatment and unfair.We always performed whenever repairs were needed and never disrespected you or neglected your needs. You even admit to staying for 6 years, so if we were such terrible people, why stay for so long? Our average tenancy time throughout our management portfolio is just over 3 years. You stayed for twice the average tenancy time. Our company is not a "haven for greed and laziness". We work very hard and take care of our residents and properties. I'm glad your life has improved after severing ties with us because we feel the same.

Sonya, We regret you feel that you were treated unfairly. Our goal is to help people with their housing needs. We're always upfront about what is needed to qualify. We talked on the phone at length and went through our 8 point qualifying questionnaire together. When we asked about your monthly income, you answered an amount that was higher than your income documents revealed. When we met to show you the unit a requirements sheet was provided to you. We were clear on the documentation required, but you only provided a portion of what was needed - not the complete set of documents. You mentioned your Etsy sales and we even suggested providing statements so we could include that income to qualify you. Once again, we only received one bank statement - a portion of the documents required and not a complete set. We deal with many individuals and try to assist as much as we can, but it's unreasonable for us to spend time checking on everyone that they are getting their documents organized and submit complete packages. We would have gladly checked if other options were available. We wish you good luck on finding your perfect place.
