I saw Mey for about 6 months and loved her approach and therapy. She is the first therapist I have ever seen, so I cannot compare her to others. However, my experience with her was wonderful. First, she's one of the few therapists that actually returned a call when I was looking. Her office is located in a great location and is very private. Mey herself is very kind and provided plenty of guidance and tools to help me with my problems. She asked me great questions that got me to change my thought processes and challenge myself. I love that she asked what I wanted out of therapy and then evaluated those goals periodically. I really learned a lot about my negative thoughts and how to question them. At the end of my therapy with Mey, she provided me with notes and tips to apply as needed. I would highly recommend Mey.

I did some research online looking a a local therapist. I liked the look of Mey's background and website. I called her more than a week ago wanting to set up a phone consultation to see if me and my wife would be a good fit. I waited.... and waited.... and waited.... a week went by and I decided to then send an email and give it one last shot. No response.....What does it take to get a professional to call you back? Especially a therapist. It can often take a lot of strength to reach out and admit you need help in certain areas. And then when you finally muster up the courage to do so, ready to make yourself vulnerable. It seems like that person doesn't even care because you can't get a call back or email back.

I couldn't say enough nice thing about Mey,  she is kind, listens to my concern very carefully, she is very knowledgeable, she solves the problem with me and gives me lots of solutions that I can practice on my own. I went to her for help because I felt helpless for life in general, she makes me feel hopeful again, and proved to me that with my own action, some emotional troubles can actually be solved.

Mey is a highly skilled MFT. She has a gift for helping children affected by adoption find and acknowledge their pain first and then develop strong coping tools to deal with the lifelong issues that they will carry. Mey has amazing intuitive and professional skills. She has helped our family in more ways than we will ever be able to acknowledge. We are forever indebted to her. Shine on Mey.

Mey is the first therapist I've ever been to as I always thought it was only the "really messed up people" who saw therapists. But, I was at my wits end with my struggle with anxiety that I knew it was time I gave therapy a try. A close, trusted friend who had recently gone through a similar season of fear and anxiety recommended Mey. My friend found a lot of healing from her anxiety by seeing Mey so I wanted to see if she could help me. I've been seeing Mey for 3 months now and have already seen so much healing from the constant fears I was battling for two years. The fears I had used to paralyze, burden, and discouraged me--now I am finding freedom to live fully again! Mey's office on Solano Ave. is cozy, relaxing, and comfortable. Mey is easy to talk to, relatable, and very skilled in dealing with fear, anxiety, and negative thoughts. She uses a variety of techniques that science, and her many years of experience, has shown works (also, I am proof that they work!). I am so thankful for Mey! Another amazing bonus--Mey accepts Kaiser insurance!!
