I can't say enough about Dr. Kurtz - what a wonderful dentist. I am someone who likes to know the whys and hows of my medical/dental care, and Dr. Kurtz and his team always go the extra mile to priortitize my dental health. I never feel like Dr. Kurtz's office is trying to upsell me on some expensie add-on, rather their focus is on good oral health and bad outcome prevention with ADA-based recommendations for oral health maintenance. They show me on mini cameras or x-rays any time any treatment is being recommended, and why. One very minor negative is that it can be hard to catch their office by phone, so be sure to schedule your next appointment during your bi-annual visits!

I went to Dr Kurtz after moving back to Oakland and needing a new dentist. It was a great experience - he reviewed my previous health records in advance, and spent a bunch of time with me when I was there explaining everything he was doing step by step. His office staff made the experience feel safe throughout a dentist visit in the pandemic, which usually would feel more stressful.

They are about your care of teeth. Won't convince you to get dental work you don't need. Work done is ver professional and not overly priced from insurance. They are always nice from the dr to the receptionist.

Dr Kurtz (and his staff,  Linda, as well as hygienists) are excellent. I switched dentists and have had a great experience with Dr. Kurtz -- very competent, thorough, caring and compassionate while the administrative staff is extremely responsive and helpful.

I cannot recommend Dr. Kurtz strongly enough. Everyone in his office is competent, accommodating, and friendly, (we love you, Linda!). I always have a concern about outlasting my favorite doctors so I was overjoyed when his son recently joined the practice. To me, that speaks of longevity as well as fresh ideas and theories. Dr. Kurtz has a very gentle way and works with his patients to make sure they are well-informed about making decisions. He helps us see which situations can be monitored and which need to be handled straight away. This approach gives me a lot of faith in his integrity and professionalism.
