Hiking trails are not marked well AT ALL, I had to turn around because it's too easy to get lost and there wasn't a map posted at the trailhead - there really should be one there for people to take a picture of for safety since there's no wifi in case you get lost you cannot access a map from your phone! You could easily get lost for days so make sure you're prepared.

Sad and pathetic that this place is still closed. It was a sad and tragic event when the floods came and took those innocent souls, but punishing the rest of the world for it is wrong. I bet those souls are sad to know the end result of there tragic deaths. The floods were a freak thing. Hot Springs was massively flooded in the early 90's....why didn't they close the city. Get my point. Albert Pike was beautiful, the hiking was nice, the fishing was good, why keep it closed? Bring back the maintenance, bring back the trout, and for God's sake, bring back the campers.

This is a very beautiful place and water is clean but if you don't know how to swim make sure to either stay where you can see your feet or wear a because there are some dangerous zones, last time my family and I went, there were 3 different incidents with in an hour.
