We have been regulars at this hospital for the last year with our medical anomaly daughter. We love this hospital.. sure sometimes it takes a while to get ahold of someone or we have to wait a couple hours.. but we are seen by several specialists from Little Rock to NWA and we have nothing but good things to say. We are treated well and my daughter is getting the help she needs thanks to the staff! Theyre always very kind and thorough Weve had a few instances we didnt leave happy but I dont let those few times take away from the good experiences weve had

How can anyone even get an appointment with this place?! Their phone system for scheduling an appointment is ridiculous. I cant talk to a person and they keep hanging up on me.

My 3 year old came down with a fever and no other symptoms. I had gone to the Pediatric clinic earlier where after discussing symptoms they suspected UTI. We couldnt get a urine sample and the dr gave us meds and advised us strongly that if she starts to vomit to go to the ER, mainly because the antibiotics she prescribed werent the top recommended for UTIs and vomiting meant the infection had spread to her kidneys. Well my child begins vomiting at 10:30 pm Saturday and it didnt let up. At 1:40 we packed up and went to childrens. She had vomited well over 10 times, couldnt keep water or medicine down. Her fever was reaching over 102. Getting there was ok, and the nurse who checked us in was wonderful. She got her medicine to stop the vomiting really fast. She even got me something to change into when my baby urinated all over me to get a sample. She was amazing. But the experience after her was horrific. We didnt see a dr until well after 2 hours of arriving. My husband and I had been up for over 24 hours at that point. When we did see the dr, they confirmed the UTI and ordered an ultrasound. The ultrasound tech was wonderful and had taken care of us quickly. The ultrasound results were posted within 10 minutes and posted to her my chart where I could see the prognosis. I didnt see the dr again for 2 more hours, at which point she comes in and gives us her recommendation. A shot and 30 minutes of observation we could go. It took 3 hours for the shot to be administered. I had to ask three times before someone finally helped. Then it took another hour to discharge us. Unfortunately my toddler began vomiting again. I had called and asked if they could send medication to an open pharmacy. They agreed and one hour later that pharmacy sends a confirmation for an antibiotic that she cant take until the next day. At this point, on a Sunday, I had 2 hours until the pharmacy closed. I frantically called the hospital requesting the nausea medicine also be sent before the pharmacy closed. The person I spoke to said they would look for the doctor and hung up. I called back and they had the wrong pharmacy where they would send it. I had to correct her and beg for them to send it as quickly as possible so we could get it before close. My daughter is already struggling to stay hydrated and couldnt do another night of consistent vomiting coupled with fever. Fortunately we were able to get it, 30 minutes before the pharmacy closed. So 9 hours in the ER and some frantic phone calls later, we are hoping we are on the mend from a UTI and kidney infection.
