        The assistants are great but we may reconsider and go to another orthodontist. I have a high functioning autistic son with adhd and I took his step mom with me so we could both help coach him through getting his braces put on and so we each stood on either side of him. We were asked to sit down by the dentist because she thought we were overwhelming him. We know our son and in the end 3 assistants were crowded around him instead trying to do the same thing. They also have a strict policy about brackets coming off or they'll take the braces off. We get 3 brackets before we get a talking to by the dentist. To me, being a pediatric orthodontist office, kids should have some slack especially considering our son has disabilities. We'll probably go one more time and see how things go but this may nit be a good fit for us.
