My husband and I hired John 2 years ago after I was injured durning a medical procedure. This was the hardest time in our lives, not knowing what would happen next and where to go John made this process smooth and easy. He was always willing to listen and go above and beyond to calm my nerves through this life changing event. I have never been through any type of litigation, so my testimony/review may be emotionally lengthy. Without going into too much detail, in December of 2012 I was scheduled for a “routine” outpatient surgery (although no surgery is really routine). I was supposed to go in that morning have an operation and be home that evening after leaving recovery. Unfortunately that is not what transpired. What actually happened, sadly and forever changed my life. The “routine” outpatient surgery was far from “routine”. Due to negligence, I spent over a month in the hospital. I was finally released to go home, even though it was recommended I check into a long term care facility to further rehabilitate myself. My rehab at home took over a year and I ultimately had to have another surgery to attempt going back to a “normal” life. I was urged by friends/family members to pursue a lawsuit. I searched high and low for a reputable Attorney who would take my case. I wasn’t able to find one until I was referred to Polewski & Associates by a friend in mid-2014. I met with John and his team and described what happened to me and how the events affected me both physically and emotionally. John attentively listened and gathered all the information I’d given him. At that point in time, he explained that he wasn’t sure if I even had a winnable case. He respectfully and honestly revealed how he’d have to gather all the facts along with my medical records to ascertain whether he would take the case. He made sure I understood the entire process and the length of time the process could possible take. It was determined later, after the initial meeting and research that I did indeed have a case worth pursuing. John answered any and all questions that I had from that point going forward. Barbara and he kept in contact with me throughout the entire course and kept me abreast of everything pertaining to my case. Ultimately a few years later and just recently we’ve reached a settlement (through mediation) on my case. I thought it was a fair settlement after being educated on the disparaging realities of Texas medical malpractice laws. I know that if I did not have John and his team in my corner that I would not have gotten such an outcome or any results at all considering no Attorney prior to him would take my case. John and his team were very respectful, knowledgeable, attentive and showed great empathy towards my situation. His tenacity in getting me a victory is greatly appreciated! I sincerely hope no one ever has to go through all that I’ve been through, but if that were the case I would HIGHLY recommend Polewski & Associates to help in your time of need.

John Polewski is one of the very best lawyer’s regarding Medical Malpractice. He is responsive, caring and hard working.
