Beware and stay away from this crooked place and the crook who ripped me off hundreds of dollars. They advertise that they were buying gold and paying top dollar for it. I just got back a couple days earlier from an overnight trip from picking up my granddaughter who was bitten by a snake in the Ozarks. That day, my transmission started to slip. I panicked. I was tired, stressed and I decided to sell my 14k charm heart bracelet with 14k charms on it, plus another charm that I had. I choose to go to "Lucky's" because they were close to where I live. Plus, they advertise that they pay top dollar for your gold. What a crock! I thought I was going to get the rate that gold was going for as advertised. When he weighed my gold it totalled 19 grams. When he handed me a little over $200.00 instead of over $1,000.00 that I should have received, I was in disbelief and shocked, thinking this is all gold is going for. I looked up what gold was selling for and then realized that I was conned. Like I said, before, I've sold gold before. Talk about false advertising. I called the pawn shop immediately and the guy just argued with me after I told him that I wanted my jewelry back and he could have his check back. He said I signed my rights away about getting it back. I then asked if I could buy my bracelet and he said it was already on a truck. I also told him that he didn't give me a fair price on my jewelry and he then just started giving me a song and dance about how my jewelry was a different kind of gold, not 14K. As can see on my receipt it's states 14k. I called him right away after I left and told him I wanted my jewelry back and he said that I signed my rights away about changing my mind and just argued with me. I called back again and told him I knew my jewelry was worth over a thousand dollars and I even asked him if I could buy it back and he told me no. What kind of person or facility takes that advantage of someone who was in need of a fair deal. He even told me Do yourself a favor, go to another pawn shop. He is the lucky one who rips people off. I made the mistake of telling him why I was selling it, not pawning it. I told him I didn't want to pawn because I'm on SSDI. I. Shame on him.
